Looks like another bad one! Update your virus definitions, run checks!

"Bagle computer virus unleashed Computer users are being warned about a new virus which has spread at 'an alarming rate'.

Internet security firm MessageLabs says it has detected more than 70,000 copies of the W32/Bagle-mm virus in the past 24 hours.
The computer virus, or worm, is contained in infected emails as an attachment.

The aim of the worm is to spread further by looking for new email addresses in the infected computer, such as in the user's list of contacts."

This just in from the "Whatever Happened to America?" bureau....things are getting scary.

Question about flight simulator brings visit from police

COLRAIN - An innocent inquiry to a Staples store clerk about a computer software program that teaches how to fly an airplane by instrumentation brought a surprise visit this holiday season to a local family from the state police.

Read it all here (you may have to scroll down a bit): Question about flight simulator brings visit from police

See the problem over the past few years is that by even commenting on this story could have me labeled as un-American or worse. I always thought that a part of being an American meant that I could question the government and its decisions...(end Rant)

Here is something that I think we all know but don't want think about:

"Dirty dining?
Dateline hidden cameras investigate cleanliness of America's top 10 fast food chains"

Fast food: It’s served fast and you eat it fast, maybe too fast to notice the restaurant is a little dirty. The fact is that no one has ever done a national survey looking at the cleanliness of fast food chains — until now. Recently, we took our Dateline cameras undercover for the first-ever investigation of whether America’s top 10 fast food chains are clean and safe. How did your favorite restaurant do?

Check out the story and a full video of the report here: MSNBC - Dirty dining?
On a personal note: I am always shocked at how many 'small' health/cleanliness violations that I see just standing in line at Fast Food and other restaurants.

I was in our local Garfield's the other day, I looked up and saw one of the Managers reach into the french fry pan with bare hands and scoop some out. When I asked our waitress about it she just shrugged it off. That Garfiled's was a favorite of our company, I no longer go there.

That store is in Columbus, Mississippi at the Leigh Mall.

Warning....

PayPal SCAM hits new low!

I just got another email asking me to verify/update my PayPal account. I know not to do this, since it is a scam, but this one is even more sneaky than before. They fully mask the real address by using the format below and just show their COPY of the PayPal.com site.

DO NOT - EVER go to PayPal through any other method than typing PayPal.com in the adress bar of your browser. They will NEVER send you email asking for you to update credit card or any other info. They harvest the email addresses of PayPal uses from sites, and sometimes just send out bulk emails in hopes of catching people.

This is the address of the server.. and from looking at it you may be able to tell how they fool people:

http://www.paypal.com

@66.6.128.90/f/

The first part shows up in the browser and the email link, all the squares are blanks(spaces) the actual place the link goes to is the site at address 66.6.128.90/f/ anything before the @ sign is ignored by the server. The 66.6.128.90 is an IP address.

MMMM Coffee!

Check out this story about were to get the best coffee! Oh and I have to agree..Dunkin' Donuts makes great coffeee, with their pre measured cream and sugar added!

It may appear that the differences between "commercial" coffees and "specialty" coffees have narrowed as the larger brands have introduced new flavors and offerings over the past few years. But don't be fooled — when it comes to quality and taste, the differences have become more pronounced as blended coffees increasingly use the less expensive Robusta beans, which are lower in quality.

Should These Words Be Banned? What do metrosexual, shock and awe, and bling-bling have in common? They should be banned! So says the public relations staff of Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, which annually takes on the role of word police by collecting a list of words and phrases that we use so much they become annoying. The solution? Ban them!

I have been playing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga on my GBA, and I must say it is a great deal of fun.

GameTab.com has the coverage on this great title.

The only problem for me is that, since my accident, my co-ordination between my right and left hand is not what it was, so I tend to get a bit frustrated with the two button control of the title. The title is worth the effort!

I give it a 9 out of 10!

Some interesting information, it is interesting I actually feel this to to be true, since I have been back to school my mind seems more awake.

Age 35 to 55? You'd Better Do This Daily
Use it or lose it. We're talking about your mind.

In a study with more than 5,300 people, researchers from University College London have determined that people ages 35 to 55--that is, those who are approaching and in the middle-age years--who participate in intellectually challenging leisure-time activities, such as reading or taking classes, have sharper minds than people who prefer solitary activities, such as gardening or household tasks. And doing this from ages 35 to 55 will help protect your mind as you age.
